Challenge: Animate a complex data-processing diagram into an engaging visual story that clearly communicates how information moves through the organization's system.
Solution: Created an animated explainer that visualized the collection, anonymizing, and siloing of data through motion and storytelling, making a technical process more accessible and easier to understand.
This animation was created from a client provided diagram showing the 3 stages of data. The client created the initial graphic and we were tasked with creating a piece that showed the continual flow of data in, and actionable items out.
We used photography in the initial globes, to show data poinst being collected, then stripped the photo out, removing identifying information. Information is then processed, moving through the gears, and spit out to be categorized and labeled. Then this piece moves into a larger structure of information.
Making the graphic feel like a character, instead of something technical was important to the client.
Later, this animation was built out into longer format explainer videos, with expanded animations, and a voice over. All animation was done in After Effects.
